Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Alexandra “Ali” Wisenall, DNP, MBA, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, healthcare executive, and co-founder of Novella Women’s Health. With a career that spans bedside nursing, advanced clinical practice, and executive healthcare leadership, Ali brings a unique perspective to the work of building a better healthcare experience for women.
Ali earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Organizational and Systems Leadership and her Master of Science in Nursing from Carlow University, along with a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Healthcare Management from Youngstown State University. Her professional path has allowed her to see healthcare from many vantage points—from the bedside to the boardroom—shaping her belief that great healthcare requires both compassionate care and thoughtful leadership.
Throughout her career, Ali has held leadership roles focused on improving access, operations, and quality across complex healthcare systems. Most recently, she served in senior leadership positions overseeing ambulatory services and surgical specialties, where she worked closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and operational teams to improve patient access and strengthen care delivery across multiple clinic sites.
Across more than 15 years working in healthcare and supporting multiple surgical specialties, women’s health has remained a central passion for Ali. She now feels grateful to be aligning both her clinical practice and executive leadership experience to help shape a new chapter in women’s healthcare through the creation of Novella Women’s Health.
Despite her executive experience, Ali considers herself first and foremost a nurse. That foundation continues to shape how she approaches leadership, patient care, and partnership. That perspective ultimately brought her together with her physician and business partner, Dr. Jessica Hott, to co-create Novella Women’s Health—an intentionally designed practice built around a shared belief that women deserve thoughtful, modern, and deeply patient-centered care.
As CEO of Novella, Ali jokingly describes her role as “Chief Everything Officer.” On any given day, that might mean helping shape the strategic vision of the practice, supporting the clinical team, solving operational puzzles, or making sure the details behind the scenes allow providers to focus on caring for patients.
At the heart of her work is a simple philosophy: healthcare is ultimately about service. Ali believes that one of the greatest honors in life is the opportunity to be of service to others, and she strives to bring that mindset into every aspect of Novella’s mission—creating a place where women feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.
In recognition of her leadership and contributions to healthcare, Ali was named a 2026 Influential Woman by the Influential Women platform, a national recognition celebrating women making meaningful impact across industries.
